UGVCL Recruitment 2020 has released. Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited (UGVCL), a subsidiary of GUVNL (erstwhile GEB), an ISO-9001:2008 Company and the recipient of National Gold Shield for its excellent performance in power distribution during 2010-11, having consumer-base of around 35 Lakhs, an annual turnover of Rs. 12300 Crores and manpower strength of more than 9300, invites for post of Chairperson. Eligibility Details for Chairperson:
- Applicable candidates should have below 65 years of age.
- A retired District Judge / a retired Senior Judicial Officer, OR
- A retired Civil Servant, not below the rank of Collector, OR
- A retired Electrical Engineer not below the rank of Superintending Engineer or equivalent.
- Having at least 20 (Twenty) years of experience, with adequate knowledge of power Sector. Experience related to consumer affairs will be preferred.
Salary Details for Chairperson:
The remuneration fee will be Rs. 5000/- per sitting along with to and fro transportation facility and as may be laid down by the GERC from time to time. The Forum shall hold at least one sitting in a week on specific day in any district place of UGVCL.
Important Instructions for the candidates:
- The Appointment is purely on contractual basis and period of contractual service will be reviewed on the base of candidate’s performance and age.
- The management reserves the right to short list, select or rejects any candidates and to reduce / extend contractual period as the case may be for selection.
- The Applicant shall be persons of experience, ability, integrity and standing.
- No person shall be eligible, if he/she has been in the service of UGVCL at any time during preceding Two (2) years from the date of occurrence of such vacancy for which the appointment is to be made.
- No person will be appointed and/or be entitled to continue as a member if he/she stands disqualified on account of his/her: (i) Having been adjudged an insolvent; (ii) Having been convicted of an offence which, in the opinion of Licensee, involves moral turpitude; (iii) Having become physically or mentally incapable of acting as such member; (iv) Having acquired such financial or other interest as is likely to affect prejudicially his/her functioning as a member; (v) Having so abused his/her position as to render his/her continuance in office prejudicial to public interest; or (vi) Having been guilty of proved misbehavior.
- Incomplete application shall be rejected. The candidate is required to fulfill all educational and experience criteria, otherwise the application shall not be considered.
- Photocopies of all Educational, Cast, Age and Experience Certificates must be attached along with the application together with the list of such annexure.
- Passport sized photograph must be affixed on the application.
- Knowledge of Gujarati is essential.
- The recruitment process shall be carried out as per the Company’s Rules. The company reserves the right to short-list and select any candidate as per the requirement of the company and to reject candidature in the event of detecting the candidate’s ineligibility at any stage.
