So, it is necessary to have an Aadhaar card to do every activity personally and officially. This Aadhaar card has been provided to children from the age of 5th in the name of Baal-Aadhaar card. At this time, a meeting was held in the state of Punjab, in order to review the Aadhaar process across the state under the Punjab chief secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua. In that meeting, it has been reported that in Punjab only 52 percent of children have the Baal-Aadhaar card.
Considering this delaying process, chief secretary Vijay Kumar Janjua insisted to the officials to make concerned about the coverage of children’s Aadhar cards. Meanwhile, in the last 3 months nearly 80,000 children were enrolled for the Aadhaar cards, the report said. Moreover, in the state of Punjab, an Aadhaar-linked birth certificate process has been started to control future backlogs.
