Patna University Likely to Cancels the Entrance Examination due to Covid-19 – Admissions Procedure Follows Traditional Method – Patna University considers to cancels the Combined entrance examination for the academic year 2021-22 due to covid-19 outbreak. The admission procedure for all under graduate courses in Patna University will be based on the marks obtained in intermediate courses. Patna University vice-chancellor Girish Kumar Chaudhary said the university considers to cancel entrance exam because of this corona situation.
Last Year, there were around 42000 candidates were attended the Patna University Combined Entrance Examination for the admission of various undergraduate courses. Considering these amounts of people in a single place in this situation is not a good thing. Following covid-19 restrictions in the examination hall is extremely complicated and it is not safe for all. The official order regards this UG admission will be released soon.
Because of this situation Patna University also cancelled the Viva Voce to shorten the admission process. PU Vice Chancellor Chaudhary said that, the decision of cancelling the entrance examination for UG courses taken after discussing with academic council. Patna University sent their decision to Raj Bhawan for the Governor’s approval. After the approval came the PU will announce the cancellation of entrance examination officially.

PU university officially says that they cannot make such changes in admission process without the assent of Raj Bhawan. PU university cancelling the UG entrance examination for this academic year only. For upcoming years, the university usually conducted the entrance examination.The admission for PG students in this academic year is based on the mark obtained in this previous degree examination.
