Changes in SC Post Matric Scholarship Scheme: Dr.Virendra Kumar added some points in the Scheme!!! – Press Information Bureau (PIB) released a notification regards Change in Post Matric Scholarship. Today (14.12.2021) Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Dr.Virendra Kumar issued this information in the Lok Sabha. This information contains some of the major provisional included in Post Matric Scholarship for SC students.
Latest Central Govt Job Notification 2021
SC Post Matric Scholarship is a Central Government Scheme. From this scheme Central Government will give financial support to Scheduled Caste students for education purport at Post Matriculation level. The scholarship will be implemented through State Governments and UT administrations. After December 2020, this scheme is revised now.
The allocation for the scheme has been increased to Rs. 3415.62 Cr in 2021-22. State/UT wise allocation is not done under the scheme, as it is demand-based scheme.

Major Points added in this Scheme:
- Funding pattern between the Centre and State Government in revised in the ratio of 60:40 and 90:10 in case of North Eastern States.
- The Payment of entire scholarship amount will be transferred in students account through DBT mode.
- Scholarship transparency and timely delivery will get increased by developing framework.
- Priority to the poorest SC households for coverage under the scheme.
- Focus on the quality of the institutions.
- Government will increase effort to create awareness regarding the scheme and to encourage dropped-out students to enroll for Scholarship.
