Make in India: “7 Lakh Companies Were Incorporated” Minister Said- Check Full Details: “Make in India” is one of the initiatives that initiated by the by the current Government of India with an aim to make and encourage companies to develop, manufacture and assemble products that were made in India. As per the government source “The “Make in India” initiative is based on four pillars, which have been identified to give boost to entrepreneurship in India, not only in manufacturing but also other sectors.”

Regarding this recently the Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Shri Rao Inderjit Singh has stated “More than 7 lakh companies incorporated after announcement of Make in India programme.”. He has stated that “Make in India’, is an initiative launched on 25th September 2014, a major national programme of the Government of India designed to facilitate investment, foster innovation, build best in class infrastructure, and make India a hub for manufacturing”.
He also highlighted that, during the period 25 September 2014 to 31 March 2021, there are 7,30,013 companies have been incorporated. There are 6,69,819 number of Companies having Active status out of these firms. And from 01 April 2021 to 01 December 2021, there are 1,12,697 firms were incorporated, in which 1,12,207 companies are having Active status
The minister also mentioned that “It was one of the unique ‘Vocal for Local’ initiatives that promoted India’s manufacturing domain to the world”.
