UPSC Recruitment 2022 Eligibility criteria

UPSC Eligibility 2022 Age limit

The candidate’s age limit for prosecutors is 30 years, for Specialists is 40 years, for Assistant professors is 48 years to 50 years, and for Veterinary officers, the age limit is 35 years is mandatory. Age relaxable for SC/ST candidates up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them.

Education Qualification and Required Experience

Prosecutor

Candidate should have a Graduate in any discipline plus a bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute; OR an Integrated graduate in Law (five years duration) from a recognized University or Institute with One year of experience in handling litigation & court matters/administration of Law in a Government organization OR For Integrated graduate in Law (five years duration) Holders: Two years experience in handing litigation & court matters/administration of Law in a Government organization.

Specialist

A recognized MBBS degree qualification is included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).

Post-graduate Degree or diploma in the concerned specialty or Super-speciality mentioned in Section-A in Schedule-VI of CHS amendment Rules 2019 i.e. Section-A Doctor of Medicine (Medicine); or Doctor of Medicine (General Medicine); or Diplomate National Board (Medicine/General Medicine).

Three years experience in the concerned Speciality or super-specialty after obtaining the first Post-Graduate degree or five years experience after obtaining the Post-Graduate Diploma

Assistant Professor

Candidate should have a Degree in Ayurveda Medicine from a University established by law or statutory board/faculty/examining body of Indian Medicine or equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970 and Post Graduate Degree in the subject/specialty concerned included in the schedule of Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970

OR Degree in Unani Medicine from a University established by law or statutory board/faculty/examining body of Indian Medicine or equivalent as recognized under Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970. (ii) A Post Graduate Degree in the subject/specialty concerned included in the schedule of Indian Medicine Central Council Act 1970.

Veterinary Officer 

Candidate should have recognized Veterinary qualifications included in the first schedule or second schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1982* (Number 52 of 1984). (ii) Should be registered with the State Veterinary Council or Indian Veterinary Council. DESIRABLE: Professional experience related to dairy/cattle/poultry.

UPSC Recruitment 2022 Selection process

Candidates are shortlisted based on Interviews. Candidates shortlisted for interview based on the information provided in the online applications submitted by them will be required to send self-attested copies of documents/relevant certificates

UPSC Application Fee 2022

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using the net banking facility of the SBI or by using a visa/master credit/debit card. No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any Community. No “fee exemption” is available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
