Nagaland’s Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) to be launch

  • Nagaland to be launches its own health insurance scheme “Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS)” on 1st of October.
  • This scheme aims to reduce out-of-pocket expenditure on hospital care for all bonafide citizens of the state.
  • The beneficiary families will be entitled to free health insurance coverage of up to five lakh rupees per family per year.

The Supreme Court has appointed a former Supreme Court judge to amend the constitution of the Indian Olympic Association

  • The Supreme Court has ordered the dissolution of the Indian Olympic Association and the completion of the elections by December.
  • Following this, the Supreme Court has appointed former Supreme Court judge L. Nageswara Rao to amend the Indian Olympic Association’s constitution.
  • Lavu Nageswara Rao is a former Judge of Supreme Court of India.
  • He is the 7th person elevated directly from the bar to the Supreme Court and he was sworn in on May 13, 2016.

Training in mushroom cultivation and vermicomposting for inmates in jail

  • Prisoners in Chhattisgarh are trained in mushroom cultivation in prisons.
  • This training is provided by the state government to the prisoners confined in Baloda Bazar district.
  • The governor of the district has said that this training will help the inmates who are released from prison to adjust their lives after that.
  • Mushroom cultivation and vermicomposting work has been started in the jail under the flagship scheme of the government.

Doctors perform first successful robotic renal transplant at Safdarjung hospital

  • Safdarjung hospital has successfully performed a robotic renal transplant on a patient who was on dialysis and awaiting the transplant for years.
  • This transplant performs to 39 years old from Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukabad.
  • This Renal Transplantation was performed by a team of doctors headed by Prof (Dr) Anup Kumar, Head of Department, Department of Urology, Robotics and Renal Transplant.
  • The doctors claimed this was the first such surgery to have been performed at a central government facility in the country.

  • Saudi Arabia plans to send astronauts, including a woman by next year

  • Currently, Saudi Arabia plans to send the first female astronaut into space under this program.

Men aged 18 – 65 are prohibited from leaving Russia

  • The government of the country has ordered that people between 18-65 years of age should not be given tickets to leave the country by plane and train.
  • The Ukrainian army is conducting a heavy counter-attack against the forces of Ukraine, in this case, President Vladimir Putin, in his speech to the Russian people through ‘TV’, said that ‘three hundred thousand soldiers will be kept in reserve in the Russian army’.

  • The facility to apply for change of belt through online service Chief Minister MK Stalin has launched the Tamilnilam portal under the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management at the Chief Secretariat.

Remote Control Cockroaches  Used for Earthquake Rescue in Japan!!!

  • Japanese researchers have revealed a “cyborg” cockroach.
  • Kenjiro Fukuda and his team at the Thin-Film Devices Laboratory at Rikken, a Japanese research institute, developed a flexible solar cell film that is 4 microns thick, 1/25 the width of a human hair, and can fit on the abdomen of an insect.
  • Scientists first realized that insects could be controlled remotely in 1997.
  • Equipped with a small solar panel-charged backpack, the researchers said that the insects could last longer during the rescue operation.

TN  own tax revenue rose by 55% and non – tax revenue by 75%

  • In first quarter of FY 23, Tamilnadu’s own tax revenue rose by 55% and non – tax revenue by 75%.
  • Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan stated that the State has managed to reduce revenue and fiscal deficits and achieve growth despite keeping inflation in control.
  • Food inflation in Tamil Nadu is one of the lowest in the country.
  • He also added that the GST collections have gone up by 37% and the direct tax collection has increased by 23%.

The rupee also fell by nine paise to trade at Rs 80

  • Yesterday, the value of the Indian rupee against the US dollar fell to an all-time low.
  • Continuing today, the rupee depreciated by nine paise to Rs 80 and 96 paise against the US dollar.
  • Prices were seen higher as US inflation fell to a 40-year low.
