Under Amrit Bharat Scheme 1,300 Railway Stations To Get Modernized: In February 2023, the Ministry of Railways launched a scheme called ‘Amriti Bharat Scheme’, the main aim of the scheme is to redevelop the railway station with modern passenger amenities with well-defined traffic circulation, inter-model integration, and signage of the passenger guidance.
Regarding this Railway Minister Mr. Ashwini Vaishnaw on Monday (21.08.2023) states that under Amriti Bharat Scheme, 1300 railway station across the country is being modernized with enhancing amenities and as a part of this Rs. 500 crore has been allocated to convert the narrow gage into broad gauge in Gwalior railway station in MP.
Minister visited the construction work at Gwalior railway station and gave feedback that the works are going on at a brisk pace, the commission of Railway Safety (CRS) is likely to inspect the broad gauging work between Gwalior and Sumavali said Minister.
