UGC NET Exam Date 2021 Postponed December 2020 –May 2021, Political Science Revised Dates to be Announced Later!!!. The UGC-National Eligibility Test (NET) is scheduled to be held between May 2 to 17, 2021 has been deferred due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation. This news was announced by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ via his Twitter handle. NTA also released a notification regarding this postponement.
The Education minister tweeted that “Keeping in mind the safety and wellbeing of candidates and exam functionaries during COVID-19 outbreak. I have advised @DG_NTA to postpone the UGC-NET Dec 2020 cycle (May 2021) exams,”.
The revised dates for the UGC NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) Exam will be announced later and at least 15 days before the examination. The candidates are also advised to keep visiting the official website of NTA till further announcement.
Currently, the nation suffers severely because of the ongoing COVID19 pandemic. The UGC NET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). This Exam will be held to determine the eligibility of Assistant Professors in universities and for awarding Junior Research Fellowship. In addition to the UGC NET Exam, various recruitment and board exam stand canceled.
