Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR has released notification for vacancies.(SDSC SHAR) is a lead Centre of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) situated at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. SDSC SHAR has facilities of Solid Propellant Production, a Rocket Motor Static Test Facility and Launch Complexes for launching variety of rockets, rocket tracking through sophisticated radar and optical tracking systems and real time data acquisition and processing facilities and other support services including logistics. SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota has fifty four (54) bedded multi speciality hospital with dedicated Lab, Radiology Department, TMT, ECHO, Endoscopy, Telemedicine etc.

Payment of Application Fee:
There will be a non-refundable Application Fee of `100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) for each application. Fee may be paid online through Debit Card/Internet Banking. If the candidate could not make the payment of application fee due to transaction failure or otherwise within the due date/time, he/she can pay the fee on the following day (i.e.,28.03.2020 upto 1700 hrs.) by clicking ‘Make payment’ option available in the on-line recruitment portal. No other mode of payment will be acceptable and the fee will not be refundable under any circumstances. (Candidates making online payment may kindly note that SDSC SHAR shall not be responsible for pending transactions or transaction failures)
Selection Process:
- The mode of Selection will be Written Test and Skill test/Endurance Test. The qualification prescribed is the MINIMUM requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates eligible to be called for Written Test.
- There will be an initial screening, based on the academic performance and other parameters given in the on-line application and only those screened-in candidates will be called for Written Test.
- The Written Test will be conducted in such a way that theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate is tested covering both breadth and depth of the prescribed curriculum.
- Based on the performance in the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test, depending on the number of vacancies notified. For post No.3, Candidates shall be shortlisted for Endurance Test based on the Written test scores and the required number of candidates alone shall be called for Endurance Test.
Skill Test will be purely go-no-go basis and marks obtained in the Skill Test shall not be considered for selection. The Skill Test will be evaluated on 100 points scale with minimum of 60% for qualification. The final selection will be done, amongst qualified candidates, purely on the marks obtained in the Written Test. From amongst the candidates who qualify in the Skill Test, with minimum 60% marks, empanelment shall be done in the order of marks obtained in the Written Test, subject to number of vacancies notified. In case, of a tie in the Written Test scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification will be tie-breaker. If, sufficient number of OBC/SC/Ex-servicemen candidates are not available for filling-up the vacancy reserved for these categories, relaxation will be extended to candidates belonging to the respective category to make good the short-fall.
Location:
At present, place of posting is SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota. However, selected candidates are liable to be posted in any of the Centres /Units of the Indian Space Research Organization/Department of Space situated in India as and when required.
