Classes 10, 11, and 12 in Tamil Nadu schools may now attend special classes on Saturdays according to a surprising announcement from the Department of School Education. The minister’s decision that classes shouldn’t be held on holidays prompted a swift announcement from the school education department.
All schools in Tamil Nadu are required by decree of the Department of School Education to hold classes only five days a week, and pupils are not permitted to attend class on weekends or during vacations. The school education department had issued a warning that schools that disobey the directive may face consequences. Additionally, the Department of Education had stated that kids should only be invited to school on school days, and not on Saturdays or Sundays.
The Department of School Education has once again declared that Classes 10, 11, and 12 may attend special lessons on upcoming Saturdays in light of the current situation, the impending Quarterly Examination, the lack of working days, and the Public Examination.
