Meanwhile, the rank list of medical applicants is expected to be released next week. In the current academic year, applications for medical degrees, diplomas and certificate courses were received from 1st to 17th August. There are 2,536 seats in government medical colleges and 22,000 seats in private self-financed colleges for 19 medical degree courses in Tamil Nadu. Out of this, 14,157 seats are to be filled on the basis of state government reservation. On the other hand, 2,060 seats are vacant for diploma nursing courses and 8,596 seats for certificate courses.

Now overall 58,980 students applied for medical courses and 12,624 students for diploma nursing courses, 7,793 students for diploma certificate course and 1,055 students for diploma ophthalmology, 5,271 for Diploma Pharmacy course and 365 students for B.Pharm course. Now, some information that said, the rank list of the applicants for medical courses in the current academic year will be released next week.
