PSPCL Plans to Hire 2000 Employees – Here are the Details!! Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd (PSPCL) plans to hire around 2,000 people, the power minister said. Speaking to the press in this regard, Power and Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh announced that the management plans to employ 2,100 people to improve the efficiency of PSPCL.
He said that so far 2,590 people have been given jobs in Punjab Power Corporation. At the same time, a total of 22,000 people have been given government jobs and 10,000 contract workers have been made permanent, he added. Meanwhile, the electricity minister has said that 600 units of electricity are being provided free of cost to the people of the state.

The minister said that 87 percent of the families in the state have benefited from this free electricity supply. Similarly, it is expected that 95 percent of households are likely to benefit in the next billing. Also, the construction of new 66 KV power stations is reported to be underway to reduce the power load in the state.
