PM Modi Launched Jal Jeevan Mobile App and Rashtriya Jal Jeevan Kosh – Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually launched the Jal Jeevan Mission mobile application. This Mobile application helps to improve awareness, greater transparency and accountability of schemes under the Jal Jeevan mission. During the launch PM mode said that “Jal Jeevan Mission is not only to provide water accessibility to people, it is also a big movement of decentralisation”.

Jal Jeevan Mission mobile application contains details about villages and its water facilities. By using this app users can check turbidity and chlorination in water. The sensors are placed in the reservoirs these sensors will monitor flow of water in the pipelines and contamination level including phosphate, sulphate. Pressure sensor is also places at the piper so users can also calculate overall supply of water every day.

During this Launch Prime Minister Narendra Modi also interacted with gram panchayats and village water and sanitation committees (VWSC) and launched the Rashtriya Jal Jeevan Kosh. Rashtriya Jal Jeevan Kosh is to provide tap water connection in every rural household, school, Anganwadi centre, etc.
Jal Jeevan Mission is started by Prime Minister in August 2019 to provide clean tap water to all households. “The main base of the Jal Jeevan Mission is public participation and mass movement” PM Said. When the mission was launched, only 17 rural households had a tap water supply. By Jal Jeevan Mission around tap water has been supply in 772,000 schools and 748,000 Anganwadi centres.
