“Offline Semester Exam in All Universities” is Fake Notice: PIB Fact check Clarified on Twitter!!! – Corona virus upgraded version Omicron started to spread in India. Students on social media ask to cancel offline semester examination and requested to conduct exams in online mode. In this situation, a fake notice says “Offline exam in all Universities for Semester Exam” started to circulate in Social Media. PIB Twitter page ‘PIB Fact Check’ clarified that this notice is fake.

The Notice says “As all the College and Universities Operating while maintaining Covid-19 protocols so office examination can be taken at the Home centers”. Along with that fake notice a UGC official website link also attached as the notice was released by University Grants Commission. So, most of the students were started to believe that notice.

After releasing that notice students from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University requested urgently to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adiyanath via social media to cancel offline exam due to Omicron and conduct the exam via online mode. Students in social medias were started to oppose this decision taken by UGC.

Then Press Information Bureau (PIB) announced that this notice is not original. Meanwhile Anna University announced to conduct the UG and PG engineering semester examination via offline mode. UGC haven’t released any official notice regards the conduct of the examination. For now the decision regards conducting the exam via online or offline exam is decided by universities.
