NIPER Recruitment 2020 OUT. National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Guwahati (NIPER-G) is an Autonomous Institute of National importance and the first National Pharma Institute in North-East India set up by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India by an Act of Parliament, to impart high quality Education and Research in the area of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The Institute intends to fill the following posts on Direct Recruitment (All the posts) / Deputation or Contractual (for Registrar and Veterinary Doctor).

NIPER Professor Education Qualification 2020:

Professor:

Essential:

Ph.D., in Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Medicinal Chemistry / Natural product Chemistry or Equivalent with First class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree (M.Pharm/MS/M.Sc.) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Organic chemistry, Natural Product chemistry with a very good academic record throughout and at least 10 years of Teaching/Research/ Industrial experience with published works of high quality, well recognized and established reputation of having made conspicuous seminal contribution to knowledge in the above areas.

Desirable:

Expertise in sustainable Organic Synthesis including Green Chemistry for bio-active heterocycles and drugs or drug intermediates, drug discovery in context to Medicinal Chemistry / Organic Synthesis / Natural Product Inspired Drug Synthesis etc., Isolation and Characterization of Bio-active Molecules from the herbal products. Preference will be given to the candidate having minimum of 3 years’ experience at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent and who completes at least one EMR or Industry sponsored project with administrative experience like establishment of Department, etc. Candidate should have demonstrated adequate experience of independent Research in terms of guidance of Masters’ students and minimum of 2 Ph.D students, execution and/or recipients of sponsored/EMR projects, technology transfers and with publication in SCI journals.

Associate Professor:

Essential:

Essential:

Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks from recognized University/Institute.

Experience:

At least Five years of experience as Assistant Professor in Pay Level-12; OR Twelve years of Administrative experience, of which Eight years shall be as Assistant Registrar or equivalent post in Central/State Govt. Organizations or University/Research Institution or Central/ State Autonomous Bodies/other recognized Institutes of repute.

Desirable:

  • A Degree in Law/Management from a recognized University/Institution with impeccable record of integrity and performance. delete
  • Experience in educational administration, financial and personnel management
  • Capacity to lead the coordination of multiple units and Administration in a residential Institution. Ensure statutory compliance with the statutory bodies as defined by the NIPER Act and Statutes
  • Knowledge of computer-enabled workflow-based administration in a delegated system. Deputation: Applicants from Central/State Universities or Govt. Institutions of Higher Education holding analogous posts on regular basis or with 5 years of regular service at the level of Assistant Professor/Dy. Technical Supervisor Grade-1:

Essential:

M.Sc. (Chemistry, Medicinal chemistry, Analytical chemistry or Quality coniperl & Assurance, Biomedical Instrumentation) or M. Pharma (Pharmaceutical Analysis, Medicinal chemistry, Natural product chemistry, Quality coniperl & Assurance) from a recognised Institute/University.

Experience:

Four years of experience of research in Central/State Govt. Organizations/ PSUs/ University/Research Institutions or Central/State Autonomous Bodies/other recognised Institutions of repute.

Desirable:

Ph.D in relevant field with two years of post-qualification experience. Not exceeding 40 years 6 Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in handling equipments like LCMS-MS/ HRMS, GCMS-MS, TGA, SEM, TEM and other analytical equipments. Candidate should have strong knowledge in the analysis and interpretation of plant metabolites, Metabolomics, proteomics etc

Public Relation Officer:

Essential:

Post Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University / Institute.

Experience:

At least five years of experience in Public Relation / Training and Placement in Central/State Govt. Organizations/ PSUs/ University/Research Institutions or Central/State Autonomous Bodies/other recognised Institutions of repute.

Desirable:

MBA or Post Graduate Degree / Diploma in Mass Communication. Ability to compose & edit press releases, newsletters

Technical Supervisor Grade-2:

Essential:

M.Sc (Pharmacology)/M.V.Sc./ M.Pharm (Pharmacology) from a recognised Institute/University. Experience: Two years of experience of research in Central/State Govt. Organizations/ PSUs/ University/Research Institutions or Central/State Autonomous Bodies/other recognised Institutions of repute.

Desirable:

  • D in relevant field with one year of post-qualification experience.
  • Preference will be given to the candidates with expertise in animal handling, animal experimentations, various pharmacological screening models, handling of pharmacological equipments, animal imaging system, confocal microscope, SEM etc., well versed with CPCSEA norms and ethics on animal experimentations, Histopathology techniques, familiar with toxicity studies etc.,

Receptionist:

Essential:

Graduate in any discipline from a recognised Institute/University.

Experience:

Three years of experience in relevant field in Central/State Govt. Organizations/ PSUs/ University/ Research Institutions or Central/State Autonomous Bodies/other recognised Institutions of repute. The candidate should have good communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Proficiency in Computer’s operation.
  • Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in administration, stores & purchase etc., in reputed National institutes.

Storekeeper:

Essential:

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from recognised Institute/University.

Experience:

Three years of experience in maintaining Stores in Central/State Govt. Organisations/ PSUs/ University/Research Institutions or Central/State Autonomous Bodies/other recognised Institutions of repute.

 Desirable:

Proficiency in Computer’s operation and he/she should be well versed with procedures for procurements including e-procurement of public goods/services including import formalities of the procured items.

Junior Hindi Translator:

Essential:

Master’s Degree of a recognized University in Hindi or English with Hindi as a main subject at the degree level.  OR Master’s degree from a recognized University in any subject with Hindi as medium of Examination with English as a compulsory subject at degree level. OR Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as main subject with either of the two as medium of Examination and other as main subject plus recognized diploma Certificate Course of not less than one year in translation from Hindi to English and vice Versa or two years’ experience of Translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central Government office. Including Government of India undertaking.

Desirable:

Proficiency in computer operation in Hindi.

Assistant Grade-1:

Essential:

Graduation in any discipline from recognised Institute/University.

Experience:

Two years of experience in Establishment/Administrative in a Central/State Govt. Organisations/ PSUs/University/Research Institutions or Central/State Autonomous Bodies/other recognised Institutions of repute.

Desirable:

Conversant with Central government rules and experience in computer and data entry operations. Knowledge of usage of computers and experience in academic or examination procedures at reputed National institutes

Assistant Grade-2:

Essential:

Graduation in any discipline from recognised Institute/University.

Experience:

Experience of noting and drafting in Central/State Govt. / Organisations/ PSUs/ University Research Institutions or Central/State Autonomous Bodies/other recognised Institutions of repute.

Desirable:

Conversant with Central government rules and experience in finance & accounts, operation of Tally software, management of PFMS etc., along with computer and data entry operations in reputed National Institutes.

Junior Technical Assistant (Pharmaceutical Sciences):

Essential:

Senior Secondary [10+2] with Science Subject.

Desirable:

Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in basic biological experiments like cell culture, Molecular biology experiments, animal handling, maintenance of laboratories, preparation of laboratory reagents, preparation of lab indents, maintenance of equipments related to biological experiments, maintenance of asset registers, stock entry, consumables record etc.,

Junior Technical Assistant (Biological Sciences):

Essential:

Senior Secondary [10+2] with Science Subject.

Desirable:

Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in basic experiments related to pharmaceutical Analysis and formulation, maintenance of laboratories, preparation of laboratory reagents, preparation of lab indents, maintenance of equipments related to pharmaceutics and Analysis like dissolution apparatus, tablet punching machines, spray dryer, HPLC etc., maintenance of asset registers, stock entry, consumables record etc.,

Veterinary Doctor:

Essential:

First Class in BVSc. with at least 3 years of relevant experience OR a First Class MVSC with at least 1 year of relevant experience.

Desirable:

Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in pathology, training in laboratory animal management or experience in operating and maintaining laboratory animal facility in any reputed research institutes or lab. Handling. Breeding and maintenance of laboratory animals, particularly inbred strains, Research experience using laboratory animals, experience in histopathology, health monitoring techniques, genetic monitoring, breeding of animals etc.. Good knowledge on CPCSEA guidelines.

NIPER Professor Selection Process 2020:

The selection process for Teaching staff consists of Presentation to the selection committee followed by an Interview.

For Non-Teaching staff, if number of applications received is large, the Institute reserves the right to hold a written test and shortlist the candidates for the Interview and selection process is based on the performance in the Interview before the duly constituted Committee, Candidates are advised to visit the Website www.niperguwahati.ac.in regularly. No separate call letter will be sent but only e-mail communication will be sent.

NIPER Professor Application Fee 2020:

An Application Fee of Rs.1000/-(Rupees one thousand only) for Teaching and Group-A officers (from Pay level 10 and above), Rs 500/- for other non-teaching posts has to be paid through the link provided inside the portal. The fee once paid will not be refunded or re-adjusted under any circumstances. No fee is required for SC/ST, PwD category of candidate. Candidate after submission of Application and payment of fee, a PDF will be generated with the completed form and fees receipt. Applicants are required to print hardcopy of application form and fee receipt, sign and send the same along with all self-attested relevant supporting documents within the prescribed date mentioned below.
