The Minister of Education has ordered to open summer schools for 9th to 12th classes in Jammu & Kashmir. All schools have been closed for the past 10 months due to corona infection. Thus all the lessons were conducted online only for the students. Schools are currently being reopened in several phases as the impact of the epidemic is currently somewhat diminishing. Schools in all states are initially open only to the upper classes. Based on these results, the decision on the opening of schools for other classes will be made.

It has been announced that schools for 9th to 12th classes in Jammu & Kashmir will be reopened from February 1. This notice applies to all government, government-aided and private schools.
Jammu & Kashmir Education Secretary P.K. Singh has issued an official statement in this regard stating that “all government and accredited schools should open and operate schools as per the government notification”. It is learned by the order that schools in the summer zone areas of Jammu will be reopened to 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class students from February 1, 2021.

The order added, “If it is an elementary school, all teachers must come to school from February 1. Students will be required to attend school from February 8. All schools must be properly equipped with immunization procedures.”
