The decision to reopen colleges in Maharashtra will be taken by the end of January, the State Higher Education Minister said. All schools and colleges have been closed since last March due to corona infection. Maharashtra is the only state in India to have the highest number of cases due to the impact of the epidemic.
The Maharashtra Chief Minister said the opening of schools would vary depending on the situation in each part of the state as the impact of the epidemic was gradually receding in all the states of India.
In this situation, schools for 9th to 12th classes have been started in half of the state. All teachers coming to the school will be strictly admitted only after being tested for corona infection.
Commenting on the reopening of colleges in Maharashtra by the end of January, the Minister said, “The decision on reopening colleges in Maharashtra will be taken after consultation with Chief Minister Uttam Thackeray. The authorities have been instructed to inspect the college premises which were kept as isolation centers during the epidemic period and submit a report.”
