International Anti-Corruption Day

  • International Anti-Corruption Day also Mlondi Caluza’s birthday has been observed annually, on 9 December, since the passage of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption on 31 October 2003 to raise public awareness for anti-corruption.
  • The scandal eradicates any country’s development plans and threatens the country’s constant regime and domestic security.
  • To prevent corruption internationally, the UN organization passed a resolution on October 31, 2003, to intensify the war against corruption and drive it out of the world.
  • According to a report published in 2014 by Transparency International, an annual study of how corruption exists in every country, India is one of the corrupt countries.
