GATE COAP 2021 Result- Check 1st Allotment: COAP provides a common platform for a candidate to make the most preferred choice for admission into an M.Tech. Programme in the participating academic institutes. COAP is not a portal for applying for M.Tech admission. Candidates who are willing to apply in this portal should have a valid GATE score. GATE COAP 2021 Details

COAP stands for Common Offers Acceptance Portal. COAP provides a common platform for the registered candidates to make the most preferred choice for admission into an M.Tech. Programme in the participating Institutes or job offer from participating Public Sector Units (PSU’s). COAP is not an Application Portal for M.Tech admission in any participating institutes. The purpose of COAP is to fill all the M.Tech seats in the participating institutes and also to provide a common platform for all the participating PSU’s to upload their Job offers to the GATE Qualified candidates. The candidate should apply separately to the respective Institute(s) for M.Tech admission.

GATE COAP 2021 Result:

Candidates should have a valid GATE score from the year 2019, 2020 or 2021 to apply for COAP. The candidates are directed to enter their highest score during registration. Now the board has ended the GATE COAP registration. The India Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, is planned to release the first allotment of Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) on 28 May 2021.

Available options:

‘Accept and Freeze’: This option should be selected if a candidate is willing to accept one of the available offers and does not like to be considered for upgrading to higher preferences. After clicking the ‘Accept and Freeze’ option, the candidate should click submit button to confirm the submission of his/her decision.

‘Retain and Wait’ : This option should be selected if a candidate indicates his/her partial acceptance to any one of the available offers and also would like to be considered for upgrading to the candidate’s higher preferences.

‘Reject and Wait’: This option should be selected if the candidate is not willing to accept any of the offer(s) of admission / job in the current round. Nevertheless, the candidate will be considered for other higher preferences.

Reject: Candidate selects the option “Reject”, if the candidate is not willing to accept any of the offers in the current round. Then all offers made during that round will be considered as Rejected.

How to Check the First allotment of GATE COAP 2021:

  • Visit the official website of COAP (https://coap.iitd.ac.in )
  • Check the homepage for the login using the valid ID and password.
  • Select the “Seat Allotment” button.
  • The institute-wise allotment of seats for every institute’s status will available in the official site after the board release the allotment.
  • Candidates have to confirm the seat allotment with options from “Accept and Freeze”, “Retain and Wait”, “Reject and Wait” and “Reject”.
  • The link to the official site and first allotment are provided below. The link to the first allotment will be updated after the board releases the allotment list.

I have registered on the COAP portal in 2019 and/or 2020. Do I have to register again?

Yes, you have to register again. COAP 2019/ 2020 registration is not valid for COAP 2021.

Who can register at this Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP)?

Candidates who9 are seeking M.Tech admissions (and those who are applying) in any of the participating Institutes of COAP and possessing a valid GATE score (2021 and/or 2020 and/or 2019) can register at COAP.
