EPFO Found up to Rs.1,000 crore Loss of Money by Scam – Report Said!!! It has been reported that the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has now started an investigation into a fraud case allegedly involving employees of its suburban Mumbai office. It is said that this fraudulent act was carried out in some defunct companies including Jet Airways by creating fake accounts to transfer funds and settle claims.

Especially It has been said that the scam which is said to have taken place at the Kandivali office in Mumbai. And this was carried out using the employment of the then pilots and staff of Jet Airways, including many foreigners. According to a statement released by Prabhakar Banasure, Member of the Central Board of Trustees of EPFO, the fraud cost the EPFO is estimated that the loss will be up to Rs.1,000 crores.

Now the vigilance department is probing the past records of EPFO. It is also said that after an internal investigation to ascertain the true value of the fraud losses, the final report will be submitted to the central body as soon as possible.
