1.65 lakh teachers are expected to be hired in Bihar during the seventh round of the teacher recruitment process, which will begin the first week of August. By the end of this month, the schedule will be made public by the education department. The appointment calendar for secondary and higher secondary teachers (40,000 postings) will be made public by the first week of August, whilst the schedule for filling the open positions for primary teachers will be made public by the last week of July. In order to do this, the directorate of primary education had asked the district education officers of every district to provide information about the opening in their district through March 31, 2022.
This time, both the teacher planning process and the application procedure are entirely online. According to the education department, there are 40,000 open positions in that 9360 secondary and higher secondary schools, while 1, 25,000 positions are unfilled in 72,000 elementary schools. Additionally, the department has chosen to create a merit list of instructors through the portal and share the list with the planning units. Candidates qualified for the seventh recruiting phase even if they had passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in the sixth recruitment phase but were not hired.
