BPSSC Steno ASI Selection Process 2021:
Written competitive examination will be conducted for the candidates, written examination will be in two phases i.e. preliminary and main examination, all the papers of written examination will be based on multiple choice questions.
The first paper will be of 1½ (Did) hours of General Hindi of 100 marks in which there will be 100 questions and it will be mandatory to obtain minimum qualifying marks of 30 percent otherwise they will be disqualified. The marks obtained in General Hindi paper will not be counted in the merit determination.
The second paper will be related to General Studies, General Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics and Mental Ability Test. The total number of questions in the second paper will be 100 in which the total number of questions will be 100 and the duration of the examination will be 1½ (one and a half hours).
0.2 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in both the stages of examination. The answer sheet will be in duplicate, one copy of which will be kept safe with the Commission.
On the basis of the main written examination, 6 (six) times the number of vacancies, candidates will be selected for the physical efficiency test according to the category wise merit. Candidates will be required to pass only in Physical Efficiency Test. In case of non-availability of sufficient number of qualified candidates for Physical Efficiency Test, the above ratio may be suitably reduced.
(a) Hindi Shrutilekhan – Hindi Shrutilekhan will be checked by accounting for 5 minutes at the speed of 80 words per minute. He will be given another 20 minutes to type. Candidates will be given 2 minutes extra time for correction before they start typing. Correction of typing of dictation will have to be done within stipulated time. There should not be more than 10 percent mistakes in dictation typing to pass otherwise they will be disqualified.
(b) Typing Test – Candidates will have to type 300 words in 10 minutes on computer in Hindi and English at the speed of minimum 30 (Thirty) words per minute. To pass this, there should not be more than five percent mistakes in Hindi typing and more than 10 percent mistakes in English typing, otherwise they will be disqualified. Candidates typing less than minimum 300 words in the stipulated time of 10 minutes will be disqualified.
(c) Test of Computer Knowledge- The candidate’s practical knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Internet will be tested. Candidates failing in this test will be disqualified.
