Bank Holidays in September – Banks Will Close for 13 Days! Check Out the Full Details Here!!! All the public and private sector banks across the country will remain closed for about 13 days in the month of September. These holidays include government holidays and weekends. Now those who want to do some banking related work are advised to keep these holidays in mind and get their services. However, it should be noted that internet banking services will continue to be available during holidays.
According to the RBI’s Negotiable Instruments Act all banks in India are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. And all Sundays are holidays. Now as per Reserve Bank of India’s holiday calendar, there are six weekend holidays in the month of September. Besides, other holidays vary from state to state. Now the holiday list that has announced for the month of September is given below in detail.
September 1: Banks will remain closed in Panaji on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
September 4: Sunday
September 6: Banks across Ranchi will be shut due to the celebration of Karma Puja.
September 7: Banks will be closed in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram for First Onam.
September 8: Banks will be shut in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram for On Thiruvonam.
September 9: Banks will remain closed in Gangtok for Indrajatra.
September 10: Banks in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram to remain shut on the occasion of Sree Narayana Guru Jayanthias.
September 11: Sunday
September 18: Sunday
September 21: Banks will remain shut in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram on the occasion of Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day.
September 24: Fourth Saturday
September 25: Sunday
September 26: In Imphal and Jaipur banks will remain closed on the occasion of Navratri Sthapna and Mera Chaoren Houba of Lainingthou Sanamahi.
