The coronavirus isn’t going anywhere because it keeps coming back to harm us. The virus that rocked and engulfed the entire planet is now reappearing after almost going extinct. The virus fundamentally altered workplace culture and propelled—or rather, introduced—remote work into the mainstream.

Many IT firms, including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys, are adhering to their hybrid model of operation in the face of the virus’s reappearance. Mounting COVID-19 cases forced the company, which reopened its offices and called its personnel back to work, to allow employees to work from home once more.

According to the most Recent Health Ministry Data,

India recorded a single-day surge of 16,103 coronavirus cases and 31 fatalities, bringing the country’s total number of cases to 4, 35, 02,429 and the death toll to 5, 25,199. The number of active COVID-19 cases in India has increased from 1, 09,568 on Saturday to 1, 11,711.

The Noida branch of the US-based IT behemoth Synopsys briefly called its staff into the offices before allowing them to resume working from home, but soon after it was learned that one of the staff members had COVID-19, it had to turn to the WFH once more.

Vijay Shekhar Sharma, the founder and CEO of Paytm, recently tweeted,

“We at Paytm allow you to work from home/anywhere for product, tech, and business professions,” giving the go-ahead for staff to do so.

Two of the biggest IT firms in the nation will use a hybrid work model.

TCS and Infosys, two of the biggest IT companies in India, have already stated that they intend to continue using the hybrid method of working in the long run.

Only 5% of the company’s executives, mostly senior executives, are really in the office.

TCS has also announced:

The creation of hot desks and occasional operating zones (OOZs), as well as the adoption of a 2525 policy. The 2525 policy states that no more than 25% of the company’s employees may work from an office at any given time and may not spend more than 25% of their time there. TCS claims to have built agile work chairs that enable employees to collaborate with other team members from any TCS site while using hot desks and occasional operating zones (OOZ). TCS explained the 3Es and its hybrid working style in a letter to the workers (Enable, Embrace, and Empower).

HCL Technologies stated that one of the company’s top priorities is ensuring the safety and well-being of its employees and their families. The company also stated that it will continue to operate under a hybrid model while keeping business as usual.

So, this is happy news for employees because they are only satisfied with the work from home they are not interested to come back office. Now, IT companies decided to stay employees and work from home due to the increase of COVID count. Follow our site for daily updates regarding this.
