Great Hike of Women Labor Force in WFH system – Report Says!! In a recent speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that India will become a $5 trillion economy and a global power by 2024-25. For this, he mentioned that the role of women should be more in all fields. Meanwhile, telecommuting and flexible working hours are expected to strengthen female labor force participation, thereby helping India achieve its economic goals faster.
Indian economy grew by 13.5% in the April-June quarter of the current financial year. In this regard, research conducted by apna.co, India’s leading jobs, and professional networking platform, reported a 132 percent increase in the number of female users this year compared to last year. It has been found that many of them are looking for remote jobs. In particular, the number of women applying for remote jobs seems to have doubled in the last 8 months.
And according to a recent report published by the International Labor Organization (ILO), 34% of rural Indian women and 28% of urban women said they would be willing to accept work available at home. It has been reported that the WFH system is especially expected for telecalling, telesales, BPO jobs like computer, data entry operator, and administrative jobs including business development.
