The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) I has released the Notification of 335 Vacancies for Assistant Engineer Post in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical & IT and C Department. - Candidates will have to essentially qualify in GATE-2019 examination. In addition, candidates will have to appear for Personal Interview.
- Only GATE-2019 score is valid for this recruitment exercise in WBSEDCL under this notification Score from GATE-2018 or from any previous GATE examination is not valid.
- On the basis of GATE-2019 score, the candidates will be shortlisted (category-wise) for Personal Interview (in 1:5 ratios of advertised vacancies).

Students in the final semester of the qualifying course of study are also eligible to apply under notification only if they have appeared for GATE-2019. If such candidates are shortlisted for interview and they fail to submit Final Mark-sheet and Pass Certificate of the qualifying degree (as prescribed in this Notification for the post applied for) at the time of interview their candidature will stand cancelled automatically. Their candidature will be summarily rejected and no communication/consideration will be entertained in this regard.
- The candidates must ensure that they have requisite qualification shown against each post as per layout of qualification and fulfill the required criteria before applying for the post.
- The candidate(s) will be allowed to appear for Personal Interview based on the self-declaration submittedü at the time of online registration and payment of prescribed application fee (wherever applicable).
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Personal Interview in 1:5 ratios (category-wise) of the advertised vacancies based on their performance in GATE-2019. The Personal Interview will be held in Kolkata.
- Candidates called for Personal Interview shall not be entitled to reimbursement of any travelling expenses.
- Final selection will be made on the basis of fulfillment of prescribed eligibility criteria, combined performance in the GATE-2019 & Personal Interview, fitness in pre-employment medical examination, available vacancies and existing reservation rules of Govt. of West Bengal.
