The Election Commission has also made it clear that the stipulated procedures must be rigorously adhered to when processing the applicant’s Aadhaar number. Additionally, under no circumstances should the Aadhaar number be made public during this time. Voter list officers at the district election office or tehsil office can assist those who want to link the two cards. This step is optional. The procedure is also available online. The Election Commission has decided to link the two identity cards in an effort to make the voter list transparent, the official added.
The commission has also urged the electorate to connect the two cards. Only legitimate voters will have the opportunity to participate in the election thanks to the Aadhar card with Voter ID. The duplicate entry will be promptly tracked because every Aadhaar number is distinct. Since Aadhaar connection is entirely voluntary, the official explained, it will be made sure that individuals who choose not to do so are expelled or dismissed.
Aadhaar has developed into a required document for the majority of tasks, such as opening a bank account and registering for a PAN card. Procedure:
Form-6B will be available online at nvsp.in. After self-authentication, the voter can fill form-6B online on the voter’s portal/app and self-authenticate Aadhaar using the OTP received on the mobile number registered with Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
