UPSC Recruitment 2021 Eligibility criteria

Age limit

Candidate’s age limit should be 35 years to 40 years as on last date of application is Mandatory.

Education Qualification

For Assistant Professor Post: Candidates should have A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council and Post-Graduate degree in the concerned specialty or super specialty on the respective field is Mandatory.

For Assistant Director (Shipping): Candidates should have a degree in recognized university / institute is Mandatory.

For Assistant Director (Ballistics) post: Candidates should have : Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics or Forensic Science as one of the subject at B.Sc. level from a recognized University or equivalent. Note: M. Sc. (Applied Physics) may be taken as equivalent.

UPSC Assistant Professor Pay Scale:

Level-10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC. General Central Service, Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial/Level-11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA

Required Experience:

For Assistant Professor Post: Candidates should have At least three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident or Tutor or Demonstrator or Registrar or Assistant Professor or Lecturer in the concerned Specialty or Super Specialty in a recognized teaching institution after obtaining the first Post Graduate degree

For Assistant Director (Shipping): Candidates should have Three years experience of Shipping or chartering of ships or port operations.

For Assistant Director (Ballistics) post: Five years experience of analytical methods/research therein in the relevant field.
