UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2021 Postponed, Download New Date Here | Important Update!!!. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has postponed the Civil Services preliminary exam due to the emerging COVID19 situation across the country. The exam earlier scheduled for June 27. Now it is postponed to 10 October 2021.
The Notice states that “Due to the prevailing conditions caused by the Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19), the Union Public Service Commission has deferred the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2021, which was scheduled to be held on 27th June 2021. Now, this Examination will be held on 10th October 2021”.
Last year, an almost identical scenario occurred due to the COVID-19 lockout and nationwide lockdown, causing UPSC 2020 to be postponed. The Civil Services test was also moved from May 31 to October 4 last year. The main written exam has been completed so far. Owing to an increase in COVID19 cases, the interview was postponed.
Many examinations have been delayed or canceled around the world due to the deteriorating condition of the Covid-19 pandemic. Various boards have recently delayed or canceled tests, including the Central Board of Secondary Education Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations and various state governments. After the situation is getting better the new schedule will be released by the respective board.
