Edtech Firm Upgrad Hiring 1,400 Employees Between Layoffs – Here are the Details!!  upGrad, one of the leading Edtech companies in India is planning to hire freshers to expand its business. According to reports, the company plans to hire 1,400 new employees by the end of this month.

Recently, while edtech companies including Byju’s have been downsizing, Upgrad led by Ronnie Screwvala has been expanding its facilities. Accordingly, Upgrad has taken new leases for 335,000 square feet of space in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Noida. It is envisaged that the space could be used as offices, campuses, housing for learners, studios, teachers, and training rooms for teachers.

As of now, 5000 people are working on Upgrade. The company has also decided to set up teams in some global countries, including Singapore, San Francisco, Indonesia, New York, and London, and hire new people in sales, marketing, and content. Meanwhile, the edtech firm’s rival Byju’s has recently laid off hundreds of employees.
