At the level of central and state, TET is conducted. Those who are willing to teach in schools must clear the specific CTET or TET. The CBSE conducts a Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), which allows candidates to be employed for posts in basic schools. However, the validity of the TET is 07 years from the date of clearing the exam.
TET Valid For Life Time:
TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) is the essential qualification for the candidates who9 wish to get appointment as a teacher in India. National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) laid down that TET would be conducted by the state governments from 2011. Previously, the validity of the TET exam is seven years from the date of passing. So, the candidates should attend the TET exam after seven years. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has announced that, the validity of the TET exam is life time. So, the aspirants need not to appear for TET once after they clear the exam. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ also pointed out that the state/UT governments had been requested to take action to revalidate TET certificates for candidates whose seven-year term had already reverted.
