Uniform is Mandatory in School!! On Saturday Education Minister V Sivankutty announced that wearing uniforms will be mandatory in schools. This policy will be applicable from December 13th of this year 2021. This order has been taken by the state Kerala Education Minister V Sivankutty to reduce the misunderstanding at the uniqueness of school students while giving bonus factors like bus fare reduction. The school reopening was delayed due to Covid, but the distribution of uniforms was completed in June itself 38.02 meters cloth was distributed. The handloom cloth was provided to students in classes one to seven in government schools and one to four in government aided schools. A total of 9.89 lakh students get the uniforms.

The State Education Minister Mr. V Sivankutty also gives the announcement about the schools for differently-abled students and hostels will reopen on December 8. And the differently abled students who are study at the ordinary schools are also have to attend the offline classes at the reopening date of December 8. As per a decision taken by the state government, 72 additional Class XI batches have been sanctioned due to a seat shortage in 21 taluks. The new batches would include 61 Science batches, 61 Humanities batches and 10 Commerce batches.
