UGC Let Students to pursue Two full-time Programmes at the Same Time in Physical Mode.The University Grants Commission has stated that students would be able to pursue two full-time degree programmes in physical mode at the same time. In a virtual press conference, UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar notified the media. “Students can enrol in two degree programmes at the same time, from the same or different universities,” Jagadesh Kumar explained.
In this context, the University Grants Commission (UGC) would soon provide detailed instructions.
Previously, students were only permitted to enrol in one undergraduate programme in India. Students will be able to pursue numerous disciplines from different faculties at the same or separate institutes as a result of the decision.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) had previously requested that all higher education institutions (HEIs) give degrees to all eligible students within 180 days of their eligibility. The UGC also indicated in a letter to all vice-chancellors of universities and college principals that universities that fail to offer degrees in compliance with UGC regulations will face sanctions.

“In order to allow students to gain numerous skills, the UGC is releasing new guidelines that will allow a candidate to study two degree programmes in physical mode at the same time, as outlined in the new National Education Policy (NEP). The degrees might be earned at the same or separate institutions “At a press conference, Kumar stated.
Students will also be allowed to pursue two degree programmes in physical and online mode simultaneously, he added.
