 UGC NET 2021 Details:

National Testing Agency conducts UGC NET 2021 behalf of University Grants Commission. Usually this examination is conducted twice in a year (June, December). As per the conventional method, the board is expected to release the notification for the UGC NET 2021 June soon. Now let’s take a look into the details of this examination.

UGC NET 2021 Eligibility:

The details of the eligibility criteria are provided below. The detailed eligibility will be intimated by the board through the notification.

• Candidates who are pursuing their Master’s degree or equivalent course can apply.
• Candidates who have appeared for their qualifying Master’s degree (final year) examination and whose result is still awaited are eligible to apply
• Candidates whose qualifying the examinations has been delayed can also apply for this test.

UGC NET 2021 Age Limit:

For the JRF, candidates should not more than 30 years. For the post of Assistant Professor, there is no upper age limit in applying for UGC-NET.

UGC NET 2021 Fee Details:

Aspirants should pay the specified application fee to apply for UGC NET 2021. As per the previous notification, the candidates who belongs to General/Unreserved should pay the fee of Rs. 1000/- . The candidates who belongs to EWS/ OBC-NCL may pay the Rs. 500/-. The SC/ST/PwD/ category candidates and Transgender may pay the fee of Rs. 250.

UGC NET 2021 Exam Pattern:

The examination will be conducted in two papers. The duration of examination without break between Paper 1 & Paper 2 is 03 hour. The Examination shall be conducted as Computer Based Test (CBT). Both the papers will consist of objective type, multiple choice questions. The questions in Paper I intends to assess the teaching or research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test the reasoning ability, reading comprehension, general awareness of the candidate and others. There are 50 questions will be given for the paper I. There will be 100 questions are provided for paper 2. The total marks allotted for paper II is 200.

The eligibility for ‘Assistant Professor’ or for ‘Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor’ will depend on the performance of the candidate in both the papers. The candidates who qualify for the award of JRF are eligible to pursue research in the subject of their post-graduation or in a related subject and are also eligible for Assistant Professor.
