“The UGC has approved that on a case-by-case basis, an extension of up to six months beyond June 30 may be granted to M.Phil and Ph.D students for thesis submission by their respective higher educational institutions based on the Research Advisory Committee’s review of the students’ work and the supervisor and head of department’s recommendation,” a UGC official said.
