 TNPSC Group 2 and 2A Job Vacancy (Post) Details:

Industrial Co-operative Officer, Probation Officer, Assistant Inspector of Labour, Sub Registrar, Assistant Section Officer and other posts are filled through the TNPSC Group 2 Exam. Personal Clerk, Steno-Typist, Assistant, Lower Division Clerk and other posts are filled through TNPSC Group 2 A exam.

TNPSC Group 2 and 2A Age Limit:

The candidates should above the minimum age limit as mentioned below with respect to the post and category of the candidates as follows.

• For all posts- 18 years
• Sub-Registrar Grade- II- 20 Years
• Probation Officer in Prison Department- 22 Years
• Probation Officer in Social Defence Department- 26 Years
• Maximum Age limit Probation Officer in Social Defence Department is 40 years
• For all other posts, the maximum age limit will be 30 Years
• There is no maximum age limit for SC/ST/MBC/ Denotified Communities, BC (Other than Muslim), BC (Muslims) and Destitute Widows of all castes.

For Group 2A:

The minimum age limit to apply for these exams is 18 years. There is no maximum age limit for SC/ST/MBC/ Denotified Communities, BC (Other than Muslim), BC (Muslims) and Destitute Widows of all castes. For other candidates, the maximum age limit to apply is 30 years.

Age Relaxation:

• Differently Abled Persons of the ‘Other Communities’ are eligible for age concession upto 10 years.
• The maximum age limit can be read as “48 years” for the For Ex-servicemen who belongs to other category.
• The candidates should note “No maximum age limit shall mean that the applicants should not have completed 58 years of age either on the date of notification”

TNPSC Group 2/ 2A Educational Qualification:

The individuals with any degree/ Bachelors degree can apply for both Group 2 and 2A exam. The candidates should note that, some position need candidates with specific educational qualification. At the same time the applicants who possess the professional degree are eligible to this recruitment except some posts. So, they are advised to check the educational qualification before going to apply. In addition to this applicants should possess adequate knowledge in Tamil.

TNPSC Group 2A Syllabus

TNPSC Group 2/ 2A Salary Details:

The candidates who will be selected for this recruitment will get the salary as mentioned on the notification. The salary scale will vary with respect to the post they will be selected for. The further details can be referred on the notification.

TNPSC Group 2/ 2A Recruitment Process:

• For Group 2 exam, the selection will be made in three successive stages. They are Preliminary Examination, Main Written Examination and an Oral Test in the shape of an Interview. The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main Written Examination.
• For Group 2A exam, the selection will be made on the basis of the marks obtained by the applicants in the written Examination.

TNPSC Group 2/ 2A Fee Details:

It is mandatory for the applicants to register their basic particulars through one Time Online Registration system on payment of Rs. 150/-. After this OTR, the candidates should apply by paying the registration fee.

Group 2:

• For Preliminary Examination- Rs.100/-
• For Main Written Examination- Rs.150/-

For Group 2A:

• Examination fee Rs.100/-

Note: The “One Time Registration” will be valid for five years from the date of registration. Thereafter, the registration should be renewed by paying the prescribed fee

• Search and select the Group 2/ 2A notification link.
• This link will be available soon. Read the job notification carefully.
• If you are eligible then proceed to apply online.
• Fill your details and submit.
• Take a print out of your application for future use.
