Candidates should have a minimum age of 21 years and a maximum age of 34 years as of 01.07.2024
TNPSC Group 1 Eligibility 2024
- Candidates must hold a degree from any of the universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India, or from any other educational institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
- Preference will be given to candidates holding a postgraduate degree, postgraduate diploma, or those with qualifications in commerce (B.Com) and law (B.L).

TNPSC Group 1 Selection Process
The Combined Civil Services Examination – I (Group-I Services) comprises two successive stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Main Examination (Written and Interview)
TNPSC Group 1 Salary 2024
The selected candidates will be appointed in the pay scale corresponding to Level 22.
TNPSC Group 1 Application Fee
- The preliminary examination fee of Rs. 100 must be paid during online application submission, unless claiming fee exemption.
- Candidates not claiming fee exemption must pay Rs.200 for the main written examination if shortlisted based on the preliminary results and upon TNPSC notification.
