The board required to give more important and concentration in the conduct of 10th and 12th board examination in this pandemic situation, So official were recommending to cancel Class 11 board exam.
Schools in Tamil Nadu is reopened now (Feb 1) after Covid-19 Omicron lockdown. And this is Public Exam season. Each year in TN class 10 and 12 public examination will be conducted in March/April. Mostly the time table is released by this month. But due to Covid-19 pandemic situation the public exam timetable hasn’t been scheduled yet.

From 2020 the board hasn’t conducted the Class 11 board examination. Previous year the TN Board gave board gave marks for Class 10th and 12th board exam as per Evaluation process. But, many of the students and parents were opposed this system and they wanted the real pen and paper examination. TN Education Board assured to conduct board exam in traditional method for those students.

Now this year the examination Class 10 and 12 board exam will be conducted. The syllabus was reduced for 10th and 12th standard, but doesn’t make any changes for 11th standard. So, the 11th board exam is expected to be cancelled this year and will be conducted as normal final annual examination. However no official information released yet.
