The top Telecommunication Parts manufacturer, Ericsson headquartered in Swedish has planned to lay off 8,500 employees all over the world to reduce its spending cost. According to the company, it wants to cut the cost by terminating the employees. This news is officially announced to the employees through the memo.
The company does not announce the region-wise layoff. According to the officials, the North American employees will be the most affected ones and the layoff frequency will be less in India. Recently, the company also announced a layoff of around 1,400 employees in the headquarters (Sweden). Ericsson’s CEO Mr.BorjeEkholm has said that the way of headcount reductions will be managed will differ depending on the local country’s practice.
