TCS’ top 50,000 employees will begin reporting to work three days a week in April and gradually increase the number of staff reporting to work.TCS wants to bring the top 50,000 senior employees to the office three times a week starting in April, and progressively expand the number of individuals returning to the office, according to Rajesh Gopinathan, CEO and MD.
He stated that by the middle of FY23, the company will have 20% of employees working from offices and 80% working from home.TCS proposed the 25 x 25 x 25 work-from-home (WFH) concept in April 2020, stating that by 2025, just 25% of its associates will need to work out of facilities at any time. Additionally, employees will not be required to work for more than 25% of their time.In FY22, the company employed 592,195 individuals, with over a lakh new hire.

“We are fairly confident about the 25 by 25 plan that we lay out,” Gopinathan told reporters after releasing the fourth quarter and FY22 results. However, it must be applied in a systematic manner.”
He added that the company is now functioning at a 95-5 model (95 percent of people working from home vs 5% in offices), and that they need to return to an 80-20 strategy.To do this, the corporation will begin bringing in senior associates, the top 50,000 employees, who will begin coming to work three days a week beginning this month. “After that, we’ll gradually increase the number of associates who return.” We’ll take it one step at a time. So, the system can respond to the change and return to a stable state,” he explained.
