TCS Job Vacancy 2021 – It May Recruit Around 35,000+ – Check Full Details: Tata Consultancy Services is a global Indian information technology services and consulting firm based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, with its main campus in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. TCS is the largest IT services business in the world by market capitalization as of February 2021. According to news sources, the firm has said that IT will hire 35,000 fresh graduates in the second half of the current financial year, taking the total to 78,000 for full financial year.

In the first half of the fiscal year, the firm has already surpassed its goal of recruiting 43,000 freshers. The company’s attrition rate increased to 11.9 percent in the second quarter of 2021, which concluded on September 30, 2021. Though the figure is lower than that of other industry participants, it appears to be high when compared to TCS’s previous quarters.

TCS chief HR Statement:

TCS chief HR officer Milind Lakkad said “This has been a fulfilling quarter in more ways than one. We brought on board a record number of 43,000 fresh graduates in the last six months. Our Shift-Left training strategy has helped us significantly accelerate their deployment,”

TCS gained 19,690 net employees in the second quarter, bringing the total number of employees to 528,748 as of September 30. Women account for 36.2 percent of the entire workforce. For the second quarter ended September 30, 2021 the company saw its attrition inch up to 11.9 per cent. Though the number is lower than those of other industry players, when compared to past few quarters of TCS, is seems high.

During first quarter of the financial year 2022, TCS had reported attrition of 8.6 per cent and for Q4 of FY21 it had seen attrition touch 7.2 per cent. The need to hire freshers can be seen in the subdued margin growth for the quarter which was impacted due to higher expenses on sub-contractors among others.
