TN Minister Sivasankar: Rapid Action to Provide Free Bus pass for School and College Students.Minister Sivasankar has stated that free bus passes for school and college students will be provided soon. Minister Sivasankar has stated that immediate action will be taken to provide students with bus passes.
Furthermore, students at government and government-recognized schools from Class 1 to Class 12, Government College students, and Government Polytechnic students are supplied with a bus pass from their homes to educational institutions and return.
The government has set aside more funding to issue a smart card to replace the paper bus pass now in use. Similarly, the free bus pass programme for students in high school has been expanded to include college students.
All transportation corporations on government buses give free bus passes to students who show their identification card with the school student uniform or photo issued at the school to the conductors, allowing them to travel from their location to the school for free.
The Tamil Nadu government is working hard to ensure that there are no out-of-school children in the state. Nutrition, free textbooks, notebooks, laptops, clothes, shoes, book bags, crayons, coloured pencils, math tools, mountain rugs, rainwear, blankets, gloves, and socks should not be a barrier to attending school. Many of these items are available for free.
