Tamil Nadu Govt increases retirement age for co-operative workers to 60, Check Details Here!!! The Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered to increase the retirement age of co-operative workers from 59 to 60 years. Regarding this, the state government has released a press note. As per the notice, the government has requested to the authorities of respective department to take appropriate action of increasing retirement age of staff of co-operatives from 59 to 60 years.
Earlier Employees in government departments in Tamil Nadu had to retire at the age of 58. Meanwhile, a complete curfew imposed last year due to the spread of the corona resulted in a major loss of revenue for the administration. To rectify this, the state government was decided to cut expenditures. So that, Civil servants retirement age has been increased from 58 to 59.
As a result, the state’s expenses associated with pension plans are negligible. The workers also demanded that to increase the retirement age for state government employees to 60, just like central government employees. Now The Government of Tamil Nadu has issued an order in this regard. Accordingly, the government has risen the retirement age of employees working in government departments in Tamil Nadu to 60.
