All Semester Exams Include Arrear will be conducted Online in Tamil Nadu: Higher Education Minister Announced. Direct classes for college students were cancelled during the second wave of corona in Tamil Nadu, and classes and semester examinations were held online. In this circumstance, the corona effects began to fade slightly as a result of government efforts, and the first colleges reopened on September 1, 2022 with live courses as normal. Because of the live courses, the semester examinations for the current academic year will be held online mode.
In the tight situation, Higher Education Minister Ponmudi has says that the Arrear Examination is also being conducted online for the college students.
The Tamil Nadu government has also announced a vaccination drive for 33 lakh children from 15 to 18 years old. The vaccination was decided to be taken at the respective educational institutions.
“The first five semester examinations will all be taken online. Because the end of the semester is in June, we’ll make a decision then. However, we intended to take the final exam outside of the classroom. The rest of the semester examinations for all colleges and universities, including engineering, arts and science, polytechnic, and others, would be administered online” he added.

Due to the live classes, it was announced that the semester examinations will be held live online in the current academic year. This provoked various protests from the students. Students commented that the subjects for the semester exams are conducted online and the exam is conducted directly only. So it was ordered to conduct the semester exam subjects again in the classroom. Schools and Colleges were closed with no reopening date announced manner.
