- The 11th Annual General Meeting of the Indo-Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry was held in Colombo. President of the Indo- Lanka chamber Romesh David in his speech spoke about active engagement between the industries of the two countries.

3rd Edition of Renewable Energy Investors’ Meet and Expo (RE-INVEST 2019)
- Ministry of New & Renewable Energy organised Curtain Raiser ceremony for the 3rd Edition of Renewable Energy Investors’ Meet and Expo (RE-INVEST 2019) which will be held from 30th October to 2nd November 2019 in India.
- Objective of the event is to attract the right investments in renewable energy (RE) and present India’s RE story to the world.
2-day exhibition on DAE Technologies
- The Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India, is organizing a two-day exhibition on DAE spin-off technologies for non-power applications at New Moti Bagh recreation club, New Delhi. The exhibition was inaugurated by the Secretary, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Shri Rakesh Gupta.

- Jammu and Kashmir Administration will host a three-day Global Investors Summit from 12th October this year in Srinagar. This was stated by J&K Principal Secretary of Industries Naveen Choudhary while addressing a press conference in Jammu.

- The Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) will be organizing a one day national workshop cum exhibition at Vigyan Bhawan ,New Delhi on 19 August, 2019. The focus of the workshop will be on discussing social and legal issues as well as technological and managerial interventions with regard to human entry into sewers and septic tanks
Hardeep S Puri Chairs Meeting Via Video Conference on Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS-Udan) with States/UTs
- Shri Hardeep Singh Puri,Minister of State(I/C) for Civil Aviation, Housing & Urban Affairs, chaired a meeting via Video Conference on Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS-UDAN).Addressing the meeting, Shri Hardeep singh Puri said that effective implementation of UDAN is not only crucial to the growth of North Eastern states but also provide affordable aviation to the citizens.
National Workshop cum exhibition on Sustainable Sanitation organized
- Thawar Chand Gehlot, Union Minister, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJ&E) has stated that the Government is fully committed to eradicate manual scavenging through the ‘The Prevention of Employment as Manual Scavengers and their Rehabilitation Act, 2013’. He was speaking at the national Workshop Cum Exhibition on Sustainable Sanitation organised by MoSJ&E and the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) .

- Foreign Ministers from South East Asia are attending the 52nd ASEAN summit in Bangkok. The meeting held for deeper integration to expand trade and bolster prosperity in the region amid rising global challenges.
8th RCEP Inter-sessional Ministerial meeting
- The Commerce Secretary Dr. Anup Wadhawan led a delegation to the 8th RCEP Inter-sessional Ministerial meeting held in Beijing on 2-3 August 2019. During the meeting he highlighted India’s contribution in shaping the RCEP negotiations .
10th Mekong Ganga Cooperation (MGC) Ministerial Meeting
- Addressing the 10th MGC Ministerial Meeting in the Thai capital Bangkok, Dr Jaishankar said, connectivity is a major focus area of cooperation for India. The MGC, is a sub-regional cooperation organisation comprising India and five ASEAN countries, namely, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
15th meeting of the India-US Defence Policy Group (DPG)
- Indian and US officials have agreed to pursue a policy environment conducive to collaboration between the defence industry and start-ups in both countries. An understanding in this regard was reached during the 15th meeting of the India-US Defence Policy Group (DPG) in Washington.
3rd International Electric Vehicle Conclave
- The Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Arjun Ram Meghwal, inaugurated the 3rd International Electric Vehicle (EV) Conclave at the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT) in Manesar, Gurugram,. The Conclave was held to create a knowledge-sharing platform to ensure flow of information at all levels in the automotive sector.
5th Meeting of India-Nepal Joint Commission
- The 5th Meeting of India-Nepal Joint Commission will be held in Kathmandu on 21- 22 August. India-Nepal Joint Commission was established in June 1987. Its meetings are held alternately in Nepal and India. The last meeting of the Commission was held in New Delhi on October 2016.
International Conference on Teacher Education by NCTE
- The Union Minister of Human Resource DevelopmentShri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ inaugurated the International Conference titled “Journey of Teacher Education: Local to Global” in New Delhi. The two-day event is being organized by the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) as part of silver jubilee celebration of its establishment in 1995.
5th Meeting of India-Nepal Joint Commission
- The 5th Meeting of India-Nepal Joint Commission will be held in Kathmandu on 21- 22 August. India-Nepal Joint Commission was established in June 1987. Its meetings are held alternately in Nepal and India. The last meeting of the Commission was held in New Delhi on October 2016.
First ever World Youth Conference for Kindness
- The President of the Republic of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the first World Youth Conference on Kindness organised by the UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development and Ministry of Human Resource Development on the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam: Gandhi for the Contemporary World: Celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’ at the VigyanBhavan in New Delhi.
45th G7 Summit
- The 45th G7 summit is being held from August 24–26, 2019, in Biarritz, France. Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Biarritz, France to participate in the G7 summit. Top leaders of the world have gathered in the beach city of France to discuss various issues including global warming, climate change, biodiversity, Taxation and digital transformation.
India to host COP14 of UN Convention to Combat Desertification
- India will host the Conference Of Parties, COP 14, of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification from 2nd to 13th of next month. Briefing media in New Delhi today, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the Government has targeted that 50 Lakh hectares of degraded land will be made fertile in 10 years and a Center of Excellence will be established in Forest Research Institute in Dehradun.
India, Pakistan to join SAARC event in U.S.
India and Pakistan are expected to participate in the Foreign Minister-level meeting of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) in New York on September 26, a diplomatic source has confirmed. The meeting has remained on track despite the state of tension between the two countries. An earlier summit scheduled in Islamabad cancelled in view of terror attacks on India.
