State Govt. Hikes DA for Employees and Pensioners By 4%: The state government of Karnataka has issued an order to hike the Dearness Allowance (DA) for state government employees and pensioners from 31% to 35%, with this hike the DA has been increased by 4% from their basic pay. The order also states that this will come into effect from January 1, 2023.
Recently, the Congress party forms a government in Karnataka with Mr. Siddaramaiah as a Chief Minister. He also announced this DA hike news on a micro blogging platform and this hike will also be applicable for basic/family pensioners. After the formation of the new government, CM gathered a meeting with officials to make initiation to fulfill the welfare schemes which was announced before the election.
According to the report, the government will give 200 units of free power to all households, Rs. 2000 monthly assistance to the women head of every family, 10KG rice to every BPL household, Rs. 3000 and Rs. 1500 monthly assistance to the unemployed graduates and diploma holders respectively, and free travel assistance to women in public transports. Upon the announcement of this news, the state peoples are happy.
