SSC is currently a DOPT subordinate entity that is primarily responsible for administering competitive exams for various positions in SSC departments and organisations. SSC has held a variety of exams in the past, as listed below.

Now the Board has released the Notice PDF signed by Chairman Sk. Kishor IAS. According to the Notice Chairman said, “The Commission, in its continuous efforts to expedite recruitment process, would be taking up the process of filling of about 70,000 additional vacancies. Notices of specific examinations will be uploaded on its website in due course. The candidates are advised to visit the website of the Commission at regular intervals for further updates.”
Staff Selection Commission has its headquarters located at New Delhi. At present, it has seven Regional offices at Prayagraj, Mumbai, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore and New Delhi. It also has two Sub- Regional offices at Raipur and Chandigarh.
