SSB Jobs Eligibility

Age Limit

All General Duty Medical Officers/Specialists so appointed will not continue on the post once he/she reaches 70 years of age.

Education Qualification

For Specialists: Candidate should have a recognized medical qualification included in the first or Second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in the concerned Specialty or equivalent is needed.

For GDMO: Candidate should have a recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the third schedule (other than that licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 and should completion of compulsory rotating internship is needed.

Required Experience

For Specialists: Candidate should have 1½ years experience for the Post Graduate degree holder & 2½ years for Diploma holder in the concerned specialty after obtaining the Post Graduate Degree/Diploma or equivalent.

SSB Careers 2021 Salary Details

Shortlisted candidates are eligible to get a salary for Specialists post is Rs. 85,000/- PM and for General Duty Medical Officer Salary is Rs. 75,000/- per month from the respective board.
