Simple : has one main clause and one or more phrases
Eg: I get up at 5 o’clock in the morning.

Complex : has one main clause and one or more subordinate clause
Eg: If you work hard you will succeed.
Keywords: As soon as, when, before, after, as, since, because, though, although, so that, if, unless.
Compound : has two or more main clauses
Eg: This is summer and so we wear cotton clothes.
Keywords: And, or, and so, and yet, otherwise.
